Hi Mom and family,
It's been so very very cold, today and yesterday! 31 degrees this morning.
The flight was easy, though overcast with turbulence coming into Phoenix.
When I got off the plane, I discovered that there was a former classmate sitting right behind me, he'd also been to the reunion. We both had found it a mixture of interesting and a little weird. We talked animatedly all the way to baggage claim.
Got a nice photo from Dorothy, replying to my sending her two. Actually I sent them to the e-mail group of family members and friends who aren't on the group Facebook pages. The photos were the one Sandy took of me dressed up for the reunion, and one of you reading, Mom.
It's a nice photo, isn't it? He looks very nice.
When I came home I found that the pizza oven/smoker had doubled in height over the weekend! I hope it's not so obvious that we will get in trouble for not having a permit for it. But I do think it's so wonderful.
The rest of this blog post is made up of photos of the pizza oven. The cavity with all the stuff in it is the fire-pit, with a tall chimney flue to help it draw better.
John Ducette lining the smoker part with fire brick.
Meanwhile, I was cutting out pieces for the applique'd hem of my Renaissance festival costume skirt:
In the afternoon I had my Arabic lesson in Tempe, at the Tempe Library...
And Drama Club at the Boys and Girls Club
Love,
Lennie
