Hi, I went to visit my Apache Junction grand-kids on Friday evening.
I sat down with Ethan and we built the structure above from Legos. His Lego collection is heavy on little men, and low on simple wall bricks. I was fishing around for them and he started finding them for me, saying, "Here's a 'walls' !" "Here's a 'walls'!" as he handed them to me.
Shayla is very strong and athletic. She crawls like the energizer bunny, left (arm and leg) right (arm and leg) in rapid synchronized motion. She seems very "tough", i.e. when she hurts herself she cries for a very short time and then it's on to the next thing. I won't be surprised if she ends up being one of those girls who loves sports.
When I left, Ethan said to me, "Good bye, friend." I said, "that's nice, but I'm your grandma."
The following day when Dale Jr. returned the post-driver, he told me that that night at dinner, Ethan said, "I have two grandmas. That my friend grandma."
I said, "He probably says that because I come for visits, like a friend does, whereas he's with his other grandma more of the time."
Dale said, "I think it's because you get down and play with him."
Whatever the reason, it made me very happy.
The following morning I went to yoga class and Zumba class.
Here I am in Zumba.
Love, Lennie
