Our first stop was the grocery story in Petaluma where we met John and Kathy and bought groceries. Then on to Joe's, where I enjoyed seeing the old red Volvo sitting by he house.
I really enjoyed seing Joseph's machine shop with his hulking antique milling tools and lathes.
Madelyn had just got some new pullet-sized chickens. She said that getting the new chickens helped get her mind off of all the bad stuff in the news.
We had a wonderful time inspecting Greg's boat. He plans to sail it along the northern coast. This boat is so amazing!
It was early late afternoon by the time we started out to find the beach house we had rented.
When we found the place we were excited and charmed by the lovely place and picture windows all around with gorgeous views of the beach below. It was so windy that John put on his "sou'wester" to go out and brave the windy deck.
The views were so beautiful at sunset! Absolutely breathtaking!
